IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Kia ora koutou Fernside Whānau,
As you know, our school ski trips are coming up on Wednesday and Thursday!
While many of our students will be hitting the slopes, we are equally excited about what we have planned for the tamariki remaining on site. We will be running special Whānau Days at school on both days.
With smaller numbers on site, we have a fantastic, unique opportunity to connect across the school, work collaboratively in smaller groups, and try out new hands-on learning experiences that aren't always possible during a typical school week.
Our teachers have put together an engaging, practical programme spanning Technology, Science, The Arts, PE, Maths, Literacy, and Social Sciences. It’s going to be a wonderful two days focused on curiosity, teamwork, building new friendships, and taking on fun new challenges!
Action Required:
Checking Your Child's Group
Please take a moment to look at the attached document to see which group and learning area your child has been allocated to for Wednesday and Thursday.
Morning Drop-off
When your child arrives each morning, please have them head straight to their allocated area listed in the document. Teachers will be there ready to welcome them and help them settle into their group.
Mixed Hubs: Please note that room allocations and hub groupings vary slightly between Wednesday and Thursday, so do check both days.
PLEASE READ: Whānau Day Groups
A huge thank you to our teaching team and learning assistants for crafting such a rich, exciting couple of days for our kids. We are so looking forward to seeing our tamariki collaborate, connect, and thrive together! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's class teacher.
